Footnote: Justin Timberlake Scared To Drop An Album While Usher RUNNING THINGS!
@jtimberlake recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly to discuss his latest film The Social Network (in theaters today) and the possibility of returning to music. Or maybe not. Here’s what Justin had to say
EW: Are there people you work with who are telling you that you should put another record out sooner rather than later?
Timberlake: …Does a painter make a painting because he has to make it by December 21st? No, he doesn’t. It happens when it pours out of him. That’s how music is for me….
EW: Do you think it’s dangerous to wait so long? Christina Aguilera waited four years between albums, and her fans don’t seem to care about her right now.
Timberlake: If you’re asking me, no. I never stop making music. I don’t know what else to tell you, except that I just don’t know [in] what capacity I want to be involved anymore.
EW: That sounds very final.
Timberlake: No. All I’m saying is, in very simple terms, I’ll know when I know. And until I know, I don’t know.
Usher (Boombox Interview)
Interview was filmed before the release of his “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” video. He spoke about the concept of the record & video, his evolving sound, and his protege @justinbieber. Some of may remember that Usher was very critical of this particular pop sound, thus going as far as blaming the UK artists (@jaysean & @TaioCruz) for ruining the R&B scene. Months later, he’s seen much success with this euro-fad, and consequently not a single being has bashed him for his new style of music. Yet he did it.
And let’s not forget how he felt about American Idol, just before he appeared on the show a month earlier. Mmm hmm. Don’t get me wrong, I’m an avid fan of Mr. Entertainer, but I just can’t ride with someone who talks one way about something, then ends up doing the same thing.

Usher’s MTV VMA Rehearsals (Behind The Scenes)
And according to MTV News, his performance will not be something you want to miss..
And @UsherRaymondIV’s Sunday night performance is very much an affair worthy of royalty. Full of eye-popping moves, hip-dipping dancers and more special effects than a Hollywood blockbuster, it makes full use of not just the epic VMA stage (which practically engulfs the entirety of Nokia Theater), but the space behind it.
While we can’t give away too many details, based on the rehearsals we saw Thursday, the off-the-wall choreography is only part of the attraction. There are lasers and LED lights, stunts, slides and even some props. Like we said, it’s kind of like a Hollywood blockbuster. And kind of a coronation too. After all, Usher is the king.
Usher - You So Fire (New Music)

Here’s an unreleased track from Usher which is probably a leftover from his Raymond v. Raymond recording sessions.
